WORCESTER, Mass. – Coming off their second place finish at the conference championships, the University of New Haven returned to the course traveling up to Worcester, Massachusetts to play at the Holy Cross Women's golf Invitational held at Worcester Country Club. Playing out, Par 35 and 2884 yards before in being slightly longer, on the way back in, 2893 yards and Par 35, the 5891 yard par 70 course put New Haven up against fellow NE10 school Assumption and Division I programs in the 11 team tournament.
Wynter Flores (San Antonio, Texas/Incarnate Word) led the way for the Chargers after the first day posting a +8 (78) , besting her front nine score by two shots and ending her first round with a birdie on 18. On day two Flores would finish one shot better then her first round score carding a, +7 (77) and would post a +15 (155) for the tournament to finish tied for seventh overall.
Erin Earl (London, England/Saffron Walden County Day) finished tied for 33, overall after carding an opening round +17 (87) before bouncing back and carding a second round +13 (83) to finish the tournament +30 (170).
Danielle Jastrab (Camino, Calif./Eldorado) finished tied for 38, after carding an opening round +19 (89) before bouncing back and carding a second round +5 (85) to finish the tournament +34 (174).
Isabella Thomas (Oxford, Conn./Laurelton Hall) finished tied 43, carding an opening round +23 (93) before bouncing back and carding a second round +14 (84) to finish the tournament +37 (177).
Sophia Silva (San Antonio, Texas/Incarnate Word) finished 59 overall, opening up with a first round +21 (91) and carding a second round +31 (101) to finish the tournament +52 (192).
Overall the Chargers finished ninth overall shooting a combined +114 (674) finishing the tournament ahead of fellow Division II and NE10 school Assumption.
