Vincent Fusco (Fishkill, N.Y./John Jay East Fishkill) put the most time in relief in game one, coming out of the pen to throw three innings and surrender a single earned run on one hit and a walk. Kyle Allen (Middle Island, N.Y./Longwood) closed out the game throwing a scoreless ninth inning with one hit allowed.
In the second game, starter Timothy Lewis (Southwest Harbor, Maine/Wilmington) suffered the loss as he was tagged for six earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out a pair. New Haven would rely on four different players out of the pen with the most efficient being Christian De Risi (Hempstead, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) who threw a scoreless and hitless seventh inning.
Even with the adjustment to Monday due to inclement weather, the New Haven baseball team will enjoy a four-day break before returning to the diamond with their next game coming on Friday afternoon as the Blue and Gold begin a three-game NE10 Southwest Division series against Pace. First pitch in the series opener is set for 3:00 p.m. at Finnerty Field in Pleasantville, N.Y.
