WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Volleyball faced the Saint Francis University Red Flash on Saturday night, in the second match of the weekend double-header, where it lost 3-0.
The Red Flash came out strong for the second match of the weekend, but the Chargers would not go down without a fight. Each set was a battle, but the Red Flash won all three sets, 25-23, 25-21, and 25-18, respectively.
Lauren MacKellar (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./Northville) led the Chargers with 12 kills and a block,
Jordan Northcutt (Weatherford, TX) had five kills and two blocks,
Kassadi Avent (Woolwich, NJ) had five kills, and
Naliah Grannell (Hamden, Conn./Hamden) had three blocks and two kills.
Juli De Acharan (Sevilla, Spain/IES Nestor Almendros) had 14 assists, and
Payton Malinoski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) had nine digs.
The Chargers are back on the road on Tuesday, Oct 14
th, at 6:00 p.m., for a match against the NJIT Highlanders.
