NEWARK, N.J. – New Haven Volleyball headed west to New Jersey to face the NJIT Highlanders on Tuesday night, where it lost 3-1.
The Highlanders beat the Chargers 25-19 in the first set, but the Chargers pushed through and won the second set 25-22. The Chargers put up a fight, but fell short in the third and fourth set, 25-17 and 25-22, respectively. The Chargers had big performances from
Lauren MacKellar (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./Northville), who had 12 kills,
Hannah Adderly (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Nova), who had eight blocks,
Caroline Johnston (Noelnsville, TN), who had 20 assists, and
Payton Malinoski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township), who had 14 digs.
The Chargers are on the road to Pennsylvania to play Mercyhurst in the first match of their double header on Friday Oct. 17
