WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Volleyball faced the FDU Knights on Saturday night in their second match of the doubleheader, where it lost in a tough battle 3-0.
The Chargers fought hard through all three sets, tying the first set seven times and the third set eleven times, with the lead changing eight times. The Chargers also went on a six-point run in the second set. The Knights ended up taking the first set 25-18, the second set 25-22, and the third set 26-24.
Naliah Grannell (Hamden, Conn./Hamden) had 10 kills and three blocks for the Chargers.
Josie Foster (Kurwongbah, Australia) stood strong at the net with seven blocks and contributed an ace.
Payton Malinoski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) had 13 digs as well.
The Chargers are back at home on Wednesday, Oct 8
th at 6:00 p.m. against the LIU Sharks.
