BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The NEC announced its yearly major award winners on Tuesday morning. New Haven Cross Country's Mohammed Abunar (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) and Danielle Lynch (Hebron, CT/RHAM High School) each earned All-Conference status following a strong fall season.

Abunar, a senior, finished sixth overall in the men's race at the NEC Championships, earning First-Team All-NEC honors. Abunar becomes the first male athlete in New Haven Cross Country history to earn All-Conference status. His time was 26:09.

Lynch finished 34th overall at the NEC Championships on the women's side, first among the Blue & Gold. Lynch becomes the first female athlete in New Haven Cross Country history to earn All-Conference status.
