LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Haven Volleyball flew out west for a Friday night tilt at New Mexico State University. The Aggies took the match in straight sets.
The Blue & Gold were led by
Lauren MacKellar's (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./Northville) 13 kills, a match-high.
Kassadi Avent (Woolwich, NJ),
Caroline Johnston (Noelnsville, TN),
Juli De Acharan (Sevilla, Spain/IES Nestor Almendros), and
Josie Foster (Kurwongbah, Australia) all recorded service aces. Johnston tied for the match lead in assists with 15. Avent and
Naliah Grannell (Hamden, Conn./Hamden) each finished with three block assists. Foster, MacKellar,
Jordan Northcutt (Weatherford, TX), and
Kira Lynch (Dallastown, PA) also finished with a pair of block assists.
The Chargers and Aggies will battle again on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Pan American Center with first serve scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST.
