LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Haven Volleyball faced their second battle against New Mexico State University on Saturday night, where it suffered a straight-set loss.

Although the Chargers fell short, there were big performances from Lauren Mackellar, who had seven kills, and Naliah Grannell (Hamden, Conn./Hamden), who contributed five kills and six blocks. Caroline Johnston (Noelnsville, TN) also made an impact with 11 assists. Kole Fluckiger (Chadler, AZ) and Payton Malinoski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) anchored the defense with seven and nine digs, respectively. Kira Lynch (Dallastown, PA) tallied the only ace of the night.

The Chargers are on the road to Smithfield, R.I. on Tuesday, Sept. 23^rd, to face Bryant University at 7:00 p.m.
