WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The NEC announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday afternoon, highlighting New Haven Baseball outfielder Jaylin Manson (Newington, Conn./Newington) as Rookie of the Week.

In his league play debut, Manson collected hits and RBIs in all three games against Le Moyne. The Newington, Conn. native began the weekend with a three-hit, two-RBI day in New Haven's 13-6 win, its first as a Division I program, on Friday. Manson's masterful weekend continued Saturday, when he collected two more hits and drove home the Blue & Gold's only run of the game. To wrap up the weekend, Manson reached base three times on Sunday by way of a hit and two walks while also stealing a base and driving in another run, giving him four for the weekend.

Manson and New Haven are back in action this afternoon as they visit Hofstra University. First pitch between the Pride and the Chargers is set for 3:00 p.m.
