WEST HAVEN, CT- Senior Midfielder Andres Lazo (Montville, N.J./Montville) has been recognized as the NEC Player of the Week for the week of September 14, 2026, following his two goal week vs UNH and Fairfield. 

During this period, Lazo delivered two crucial goals in New Haven's matches against the University of New Hampshire and Fairfield. Lazo started his week netting the Chargers first goal in their meeting vs the Wildcats, and followed it up with the equalizer in the second half vs Fairfield. Currently, he leads the team in goals and stands third in the conference, while setting a new career high in goals and points through six games.

This recognition marks Lazo's first weekly honor this season, and New Haven's second straight weekly award winner after Pol Bota Gutierrez's (Girona, Spain/Verduna Girona) Rookie of the week honor last week.

The team will travel to Boston College tomorrow afternoon for a 6PM kickoff vs the Eagles on ACC Network Extra.
