Biography

2022-23: Earned Academic Honors Distinction accolades on the Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll and named to the New Haven Dean's List following the fall semester. INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Did not compete during the 2022-23 indoor season. OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Competed in four meets, primarily as a long jumper but also testing out the 100 and 200-meter events … Qualified for the NE10 Championship in the long jump, finishing 18th overall with a leap of 4.28 meters (14’ 0.5”) … Saw her personal best in the long jump come at her first meet of the season, the Ramapo College Track and Field Invitational where she hit a distance of 4.49 meters (14’ 8.75”).

High School: Was a member of the track and field team for the Bellringers of East Hampton High School for four seasons … Also played volleyball and basketball for the Bellringers … Named First Team All-Shoreline Conference in all three sports and First Team All-State in women’s basketball.

Personal: Daughter of Joanna and Mike Mercaldi … Has two older sisters, Alyssa and Anna … Majoring in mechanical engineering.
