2010 Season: Made three appearances in relief for the Chargers…Tallied 7.2 innings of work with 10 strikeouts, three walks and three earned runs…Tossed 1.2 innings and struck out three in a 6-3 win against American International on 4/20…Struck out four in 4.1 innings against Assumption for the win on 4/30.

2009 Season: Made two appearances before suffering a season-ending elbow injury…Received a medical redshirt season…Pitched 11 1/3 inning in two starts prior to his injury… Collected nine strikeouts and allowed no earned runs.

2008 Season: First on the team with 11 starts...Led the team with six wins in 13 appearances and 79 innings pitched...Threw a team-high 71 strikeouts, while holding batters to a .235 batting average...Pitched two complete games and registered two shutout appearances...Lowered his career earned run average to 4.12 with a season ERA of 3.53.

2007 Season: Second on team with 65 1/3 innings pitched and 56 strikeouts...Made 15 appearances overall, including 10 starts...56-17 strikeout-to-walk ratio...Career-best eight strikeouts in collegiate debut, an 8-inning start vs. Felician on March 4...Also picked up first collegiate victory in that game...Did not yield a run in four of five relief appearances.

High School: Led his team to both Shoreline Conference and State Tournaments…Was both First Team and Second Team All-Shoreline…Was named to the Connecticut Legion All-Star team.

Personal: Son of Debbie and Ronald Sommo…Has two brothers, Ronald and Vincent.
