2014-15 Men's Basketball MVP: Eric Anderson

WEST HAVEN, Conn. - University of New Haven senior Eric Anderson (Newark, N.J./Newark Tech) has been named the men's basketball MVP for the 2014-15 academic year.

Anderson was a Daktronics Third Team All-America and was named a Daktronics First Team All-East Region member. He garnered Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year accolades for the third consecutive season and was a First Team pick for the second straight year. He led all of NCAA Division II with 13.1 rebounds per game and recorded the first triple-double in New Haven men's basketball history with 26 points, 28 rebounds and 10 assists against Saint Anselm on December 31. He had three games this year with at least 20 points and 20 rebounds, the only player in Division II with more than two such games in 2014-15. He led the Chargers and was in the top-10 of the NE-10 with 16.7 points per game and 3.9 assists per contest.

New Haven finished the year 15-13 and advanced to the NE-10 Championship for the fourth consecutive season.
