MANCHESTER, N.H. – The University of New Haven women's volleyball team clinched a share of the Northeast-10 Regular Season Championship on Saturday afternoon with a four-set win at Saint Anselm. The Chargers took the match by set scores of 25-20, 27-25, 24-26 and 25-12.

With the victory, New Haven improves to 21-4 overall and remains undefeated with a 12-0 mark in the Northeast-10. The Chargers, who have won the regular-season crown in each of their six seasons as a member of the conference, have also secured the top seed and home-court advantage throughout the upcoming NE-10 Volleyball Championship. New Haven can clinch the outright title with either one more win or one more Bentley loss.

Amber Cannady (Yonkers, N.Y./Charles E. Gorton) led the way for the Chargers, recording a match-best 17 kills to go along with a .556 hitting percentage. Meghan Kennelly (Detroit, Mich./Eisenhower) picked up a double-double for the Chargers with a match- and career-high 21 digs in addition to 11 kills. Kaulana Ane (Paia, Hawai'i/Kamehameha) registered her team-leading 13th double-double in the four-set match, dishing out 50 assists with 19 digs. Ashley Dalton (Helena, Mont./Capital / Northern Arizona University) and Kristy Atafunwa each slammed down 10 kills in the match, and Margo Meteyer (Madison, Wis./Madison West) sent home nine. Dalton led all players, swinging to a .562 hitting percentage.

The Chargers hit .282 on the day, including a .353 clip in the fourth and final set.

Kea-Marie Olaso (Kailua, Hawai'i/Le Jardin Academy) continued her strong play from the libero position with 20 digs in the match. Cannady led the defensive effort at the net with a hand in five of New Haven's seven team blocks. Olaso and Annika Hacker (Bayreuth, Germany/Littleton (Colo.)) each landed two service aces as the Chargers notched seven points out of the serving game.

Brennah Gladwill recorded 16 kills for the Hawks. Natalie Steinwart handed out 35 assists, while CC Chrisom tallied 17 a team-best digs. Saint Anselm landed seven service aces and did not register a block.

The Chargers return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 12, as they travel across the city of New Haven to take on NE-10 foe Southern Connecticut State at 7 p.m. The regular season wraps up with Senior Day at Charger Gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. against Southern New Hampshire.
