The Chargers earned their fourth consecutive victory with an 83-55 win over visiting Adelphi on Saturday, Dec. 7. New Haven has held a lead of 20 points or more in each win during the current streak.

Ashanti DePass shared the game high in scoring with a career-best 20 points. DePass shot 4-for-7 from the field, including a 3-for-5 showing from three-point range, and drained all nine of his free throw attempts.

Eric Anderson added his fifth double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds to go along with three blocked shots.

Four Chargers scored in double figures for the first time this season as Jemal Mosley netted a career-high 15 points and Justin Exum tallied 14.

New Haven shot 25-for-50 (50 percent) from the field, 9-for-24 (37.5 percent) from three-point range and 24-for-34 (70.6 percent) from the free throw line.

Guided by Mosley, the UNH bench outscored the Adelphi reserves, 22-9. New Haven also held a 40-24 advantage on the glass and committed 11 turnovers to the Panthers' 14.

The Chargers scored the game's first 10 points and never looked back. The win was the fourth wire-to-wire victory of the season and third straight for the Blue and Gold.

Adelphi swept the season series in 2012-13 and had won the previous five meetings dating back to a trio of wins over the Chargers in the 2011-12 campaign.
New Haven Notes
Eric Anderson averages 15.6 points and ranks second in the Northeast-10 with 11.9 rebounds per game. The reigning Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year also leads the conference with 2.71 blocked shots per contest. Anderson has posted five double-doubles this season while shooting 47.1 percent (40-for-85) from the floor and 71.1 percent (27-for-38) from the free throw line.

Seven games into his junior season, Anderson has already climbed into fourth all-time at New Haven with 141 rejections. His 71 blocks in 2012-13 were the second-most in a single-season in Charger history, tied with Bill Jeffress' 71 blocks and two shy of Herb Watkins' 73 rejections - both from the 1986-87 campaign.

Justin Exum has entered the top-20 in scoring all-time at New Haven. He current stands in 18th place with 1,306 career points, 321 tallies shy of the all-time top 10.

Also among the all-time Charger greats from beyond the arc, Exum slots at second all-time in three-pointers made with 245, and his .387 shooting percentage from distance is the sixth-best in program history. He is six treys shy of the career record of 251 established by Mike Grove from 1989-93.

Exum averages a team-high 16.0 points per game this season while shooting 13-for-30 (43.3 percent) from three-point range.

Jeffery Adkins is averaging 12.3 points per game in his final season with the Blue and Gold after a nine-point outing on Saturday against Adelphi. Adkins, who posted 12.9 points per contest last winter, currently sits at 899 career tallies.

Adkins has also moved into a tie for 10th all-time in assists at New Haven with 294, and slots 14th in career steals with 114.

In his first season as a member of the starting lineup for Ted Hotaling, senior Ashanti DePass is netting 9.7 points per game. Over the last three games, he is scoring 14.0 points per contest while shooting 11-for-20 (55 percent) from the floor with a 9-for-16 (56.3 percent) success rate from downtown. DePass poured in a career-best 20 points to share the game high in the win over Adelphi on Saturday.

Jemal Mosley has made an immediate impact on the Northeast-10 Conference in his freshman campaign. In four games against NE-10 competition, Mosley is averaging 11.5 points per contest on 16-for-26 (61.5 percent) shooting from the field in 20.3 minutes of action. The true freshman, who is recording 7.4 points per game overall, most recently set a career standard with 15 points off the bench in Saturday's win against Adelphi.

The Chargers currently rank third in the nation with 58.3 points per game allowed and eighth in Division II with an opponent field goal percentage of 37.5 percent - leading the Northeast-10 in both categories. New Haven's +7.9 rebounding margin also leads the NE-10, and the Blue and Gold rank second conference-wide with 10.7 turnovers committed per outing.

Northeast-10 Notes
Tonight's game will do its part to breakup a four-way tie at 3-1 atop the NE-10 Southwest Division. The other two 3-1 teams - Southern Connecticut State and Le Moyne - will meet on Dec. 19 in Syracuse.

Franklin Pierce sits alone in first place in the Northeast Division at 5-1. The Ravens host 4-2 Bentley tonight for an early edge in the divisional race.
