BOX SCORE ARNOLD, Md. - The nationally ranked No. 11 University of New Haven women's lacrosse team broke a three-game skid with a 16-13 victory over Queens University (N.C.) Sunday afternoon in a neutral site game played in Arnold, Md.
With the win, the Chargers improve to 2-3 on the season, while the Royals dropped to 5-5 on the year.
Junior
Nicole McKee (Wantagh, N.Y./MacArthur) led New Haven with a career-high six goals. The six total points was also a career high for the Wantagh, N.Y. native. Sophomore
Kathryn Campbell (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) scored four goals and handed out one assist, while leading the team with five draw controls.
Natalie Lieberman (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor) also chipped in five draw controls and added three goals and one assist in the win.
Maya Szymanski (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) contributed two scores and
Kristina Curry (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) added two assists. Between the pipes,
Alyssa Gianotti (Monkton, Md./Hereford) tallied five saves for UNH.
A complete box score will be available by Monday.
New Haven returns to action on Saturday, March 23 in its Northeast-10 Conference opener at Stonehill College. Game time in Easton, Mass. is set for 12 p.m.
