BOX SCORE

WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman Hailey Rattigan (Hicksville, N.Y./Holy Trinity) continued her multi-goal streak with a career-high three against Northeast-10 rival Assumption, leading the New Haven women's lacrosse team (4-0 overall, 2-0 NE10) to a 14-6 win over the Greyhounds. Rattigan was one of two Chargers to score a hat-trick, joined by senior Nicole Belanger (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon).

Rattigan and Belanger were part of eight total Chargers who finished with at least one goal, including senior Caitlin O'Brien (Branford, Conn./Branford) and graduate student Kendall Cietek (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland) who finished with two goals apiece. Junior Jessica Mazliah (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North), sophomores Mackenzie Reh (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) and Samantha Galler (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) and freshman Julia Jette (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) rounded out the Blue and Gold scorers. The goal for Jette, which came with 88 seconds remaining in the game, was the first of her career.

Belanger and Mazliah closed out the contest tied with four points overall as Belanger added one assist and Mazliah led all players in the game with three helpers, all of which came in the first half. O'Brien and Galler also added one assist apiece.

Freshman Gianna Guerra (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) closed out her second start of the season with a complete game victory, both of which have come in NE10 action. For the afternoon, Guerra finished with a season-high nine saves, more than doubling her saves total for the season.

Overall, Guerra faced 22 shots from the Greyhounds, while the Chargers closed out the contest with a 30-22 shot advantage, forcing Greyhounds keeper Jaclyn Chiro to make 16 saves. The two squads each finished with 11 draw controls while New Haven forced Assumption into 18 total turnovers, directly causing nine of them.
