FULL GAME NOTES
WEST HAVEN, Conn. - Fresh off four straight wins at home to start the season, the Chargers will hit the road for the first time in 2019 with a trip to Pace on Tuesday for another key early-season NE10 matchup.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- The Chargers are 9-26 all-time against Pace, with the first matchup coming in 1985. Pace has won five of the last six games between the two schools dating back to 2016.
- Last season, the home team won each matchup with the Chargers taking a 65-55 decision on December 4, while Pace held on for a 68-61 win in February in Pleasantville.
SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
- New Haven has started the season strong with four straight wins at home. The team passed its first big conference test of 2018-19 with a 52-49 win over reigning NE10 champion and preseason favorite, Le Moyne on Saturday.
- The Chargers defense has been a dominating force behind the team's early-season success, holding their opponents to under 50 points in each of their last three games, and averaging a league-best 48.8 ppg and field goal pct. defense of .298.
- Freshman
Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) has scored double figures in all four games this season, ranking fifth in the NE10 with 13.8 points per game. She is also second with a .639 field goal pct.
- Senior
Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) is coming off a season-high 14-rebound, five-block performance on Saturday against Le Moyne. She has 12+ rebounds on two occasions this season.
- Sophomore
Camryn DeBose (Wellington, Fla./Wellington Community) has scored double figures in three games with 9.5 ppg and is fourth with 5.8 rebounds per contest.

Brie Pergola (Torrington, Conn./Torrington) scored nine points and was 2-for-2 from three-point range on Saturday against Le Moyne. Both of her triples came late in regulation and were crucial in securing the Chargers' win. She is also tied for seventh in the NE10 with 4.0 assists per game.
- Redshirt sophomore point guard
Luzdali Ocasio (Davenport, Fla./New Hampton) was a key component to the team's defense on Saturday, coming away with a season-high four steals and dishing out a season-high five assists. She ranks second on New Haven with 15 assists through four games.
SCOUTING PACE
- The Setters have also gotten off to a strong 5-1 start to the season, with their only defeat coming by seven points to East Coast Conference power, Saint Thomas Aquinas.
- Winners of three in a row, Pace ranks third in the conference with 72.8 ppg, and is second (trailing only New Haven) in scoring defense with 54.5 points allowed per game.
- As one of the NE10's top offenses, Pace is shooting 46.6 percent overall this season, good for second in the conference.
- Senior guard Jackie DelliSanti is second in the NE10 in scoring at 19.3 ppg and is sixth in the conference by shooting at a 57.1 percent clip from the field.
- Lauren Hackett (.529) and Brianna Wong (.523) are also shooting over 50 percent this season, and rank 10th and 11th, respectively, in the NE10.

On Feb. 13, 2019 in Pleasantville, Pace outscored New Haven 22-12 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 68-61 win.
Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) had a career night for the Chargers, putting up personal bests of 30 points and 18 rebounds, connecting on 14 of her 22 field goals.
Brie Pergola (Torrington, Conn./Torrington) scored a season-high 17 points, tied her career-high with four three-pointers and added four assists in the losing effort.

UNDER 50 CLUB
New Haven has held opponents to under-50 points in three straight games for the first time since January 2017 when they held Franklin Pierce (46), So. New Hampshire (41) and Saint Michael's (35) to under 50 points during a three-game winning streak.
BLOCK PARTY
Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) swatted away five shots on Saturday against Le Moyne, the most rejections in one game by a Charger since Wormack herself had a career-high seven blocks on Dec. 12, 2016 at Goldey-Beacom.
CRASHING THE BOARDS
New Haven has outrebounded its opponents in all four games this season, including a big 42-28 margin against Le Moyne.
RECORD WATCH
- Senior
Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) is currently fourth on the school's all-time list with 99 career blocks. Next on the list is her former teammate,
Katia Oge (New City, N.Y./Immaculate Heart Academy) '19 who finished her career this past spring with 101 career rejections. The program record for career blocks is 246 held by Joy Jeter '89. Wormack also fifth in program history a .477 career field goal percentage. She finished last season with a .527 field goal percentage, which ranks ninth all-time in single season program history.
- Wormack enters Wednesday fifth all-time in program history with a career field goal percentage of .477 (314-688).
