WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The New Haven women's basketball team is ranked eighth in this week's D2SIDA East Region Media Poll. It is the second straight week the Chargers find themselves ranked in the poll.

New Haven carries a 4-1 overall record into Wednesday night's clash with Southern Connecticut State (4-2, 0-1 NE10). The Chargers started the season 4-0 for the first time in six years before falling for the first time at Pace last Tuesday. The team is allowing a Northeast-10 Conference-low 50.0 points per game, while limiting opponents to a 31.9 field goal percentage, also the lowest in the conference.
