OPENING TIP
New Haven and Stonehill are set for a Saturday afternoon clash in North Easton, Mass., featuring two teams that are fresh off upsets of nationally ranked opponents earlier this week.

INSIDE THE SERIES
-   New Haven is 9-26 all-time against Stonehill. The two teams split a pair of matchups last season with Stonehill winning at Charger Gymnasium, then New Haven taking a 58-52 overtime victory on the road in the Northeast-10 quarterfinals.

SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
-   The Chargers won their 11th in a row at home on Tuesday by pulling off a 53-40 upset of No. 19 Bentley. At 12-3 overall and 6-2 in NE10 play, New Haven has won two in a row in impressive fashion, previously cruising to a 75-49 win at Saint Michael's last Saturday. The 75 points at Saint Michael's was a season-high, and the 40 points allowed against Bentley was the fewest points allowed by the team this season.

-   New Haven has ridden its defense to being one of the top teams in the Northeast-10 standings, but has also seen a bump in offensive contributions by scoring at least 65 points in seven of the last nine games. New Haven leads the NE10 in scoring defense, allowing just 51.8 points per game. The Chargers also lead the conference in FG% defense (.335) and rank fourth in holding the opposition to just .282 percent from three-point range.

-   Offensively, the Chargers are averaging 60.2 points per game, good for 12th in the NE10.

-   The Chargers have climbed to fifth in the conference by shooting 43.2 percent overall and are shooting 31.5 percent from the arc, which sits seventh in the NE10.

SCOUTING STONEHILL
-   The Skyhawks enter this weekend's cross-divisional clash coming off a big upset of their own, a 68-60 win over No. 5/12 Adelphi on the road on Tuesday.

-     At 10-4 overall, 6-2 in NE10 play, the Skyhawks have two wins over ranked opponents this season, previously taking down then-No. 17/21 USciences 65-61 back on Nov. 17. They are 2-2 against ranked teams this season.

-     Stonehill's 64.4 points per game rank eighth in the NE10 while their scoring defense sits sixth (59.6 ppg).

-     Four Skyhawks are averaging double figures with Morgan O'Brien and Isabella Santoro leading the way with 13.0 ppg, followed by Grace Carter (11.4) and Kayla Raymond (10.6 ppg).

-    Guard Madison Seymour plays ranks second in the conference from three-point range at .448. Grace Carter averages 2.4 3FG per game.

-     Raymond leads the team with 6.9 rebounds per game as Stonehill ranks sixth in the NE10 with a +3.0 rebounding margin.

LAST TIME THEY MET
New Haven pulled out a thrilling 58-52 overtime victory at Stonehill on March 3, 2019 in the quarterfinals of the Northeast 10 Conference Championship tournament. The Chargers advanced to the semifinals for the first time since 2016, where they took on Le Moyne. Read full recap here.

LAST TIME OUT
A 16-point performance from junior Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) and a career-high 11 points from redshirt sophomore Luzdali Ocasio (Davenport, Fla./New Hampton) helped New Haven upset nationally ranked No. 19 Bentley, 53-40 on Tuesday afternoon. The game was played in front of a packed house of West Haven fourth graders for the Chargers 8th annual Class at the Court game. Read full recap here.

RIDING HIGH
The Chargers 75 points at Saint Michael's on Jan. 11 was a season-high. It was the first time New Haven topped the 70-point plateau in just over one calendar year - January 2, 2019 against Dominican.

UPSET CENTRAL
The Chargers' win over No. 19 Bentley was their first win over a ranked opponent since defeating No. 13 Stonehill 58-57 on March 16, 2015 in the NCAA East Region Championship finals.

HOME COOKING
New Haven has won 11 consecutive home games dating back to last season, their longest streak at home since they won 12 straight at Charger Gymnasium during the 2014-15 season.

LOCKDOWN DEFENSE
The Chargers allowed a season-low 40 points to No. 19 Bentley on Tuesday, marking the seventh time this season the team has held an opponent to under 50 points in a game - Bridgeport (42), Bloomfield (47), Le Moyne (49), Southern Connecticut (48), Saint Rose (48), Goldey-Beacom (43) and No. 19 Bentley (40). New Haven holds the NE10's best scoring defense (51.8).

WHITE HOT
Jasmine White (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's) tied her career-high with a pair of three-pointers on Tuesday against Bentley, tying a mark she hit as a member of La Salle last January against UMass.

OCASIO'S CAREER-HIGHS
Luzdali Ocasio (Davenport, Fla./New Hampton) set a career-high with 11 points, helped by a career-high three three-pointers against Bentley on January 14. She set a career-high with six rebounds at Saint Michael's on January 11 and boasts a 10-assist effort at Chestnut Hill on December 11. She is ranked fifth in the NE10 with 4.1 assists per game.

CRASHING THE BOARDS
New Haven has yet to be outrebounded this season, outrebounding its opponents in 14 games, and drawing even with Pace. New Haven's +8.7 rebounding margin is second in the NE10.

NEXT ON TAP
The Chargers will return home to continue a tough stretch against Saint Anselm on Wednesday at Charger Gymnasium.
