WEST HAVEN, Conn. - University of New Haven women's basketball coach Debbie Buff announced the signing of Charlotte Bassett to a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period. Bassett will enter New Haven as a member of the Class of 2025 after graduating from Glastonbury High School.

"Charlotte is the complete student athlete both athletically and academically," said Buff. "She attended our Elite Camp as a rising junior and our staff was very impressed with her potential. Charlotte is very passionate about basketball and always working to better her game. She comes from a pedigree of solid coaches, most recently in Russ Hill and Donta Johnson."

Charlotte comes from a great family and we welcome them to our Charger Family," continued Buff. "Additionally, she is extremely strong academically with a 4.037 GPA."

A 5'8" guard and dual sport athlete for the Tomahawks (soccer), Bassett played AAU for the Connecticut Cobras. During the shortened 2020 season, Bassett led the Tomahawks in scoring while she was also a major presence under the basket.
