MANSFIELD, Mass. – The New Haven women's basketball team has been recognized with a pair of players earning All-Northeast-10 Conference honors, the league announced on Monday. Senior forward Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) was named to the All-NE10 Second Team, while freshman forward Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) was named to the All-Rookie Team. It is the first all-conference honor for both players.

Wormack concluded her career as a Charger ranked 20th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,022 points, 12th all-time with 722 rebounds, second in blocked shots with 136, and fourth in program history with a .482 field goal percentage. This season, she averaged a career-high 12.8 points per game, which ranked 16th in the NE10 and was 12th in the conference with 7.6 rebounds per game. She also totaled 43 blocks - the eighth-most in single-season program history - which averaged out to 1.7 blocks per game, good for fourth in the conference.

Wormack tallied a team-leading seven double-doubles throughout the season, and scored in double figures 16 times, including three games with 20+ points. She netted a season-high 27 points on two occasions, both against American Int'l, and scored 24 points in a win at Saint Michael's. On December 11 at Chestnut Hill, she finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and hit the game-winning jumper with 1.4 seconds left for the two-point win, which helped her earn NE10 Player of the Week accolades.

Deshaies finished a solid rookie campaign second on the team in both scoring (11.4) and rebounding (7.4). She led the Northeast-10 in field goal percentage at .565 and was the only freshman in the conference to rank in the top 25 in scoring, top 15 in rebounding and top 15 in field goal percentage.

She collected three double-doubles, scored in double figures on 17 occasions and recorded double digit rebounds six times. She scored a season-high 20 points while hauling in six rebounds on 8-of-11 shooting in the season-opener against Staten Island, en route to winning the first of a league-leading four NE10 Rookie of the Week awards. She had 13 rebounds on two occasions and pulled down a season-high 14 against American Int'l on Feb. 15. She totaled 14 points and eight rebounds in back-to-back games at Le Moyne and Saint Rose in February.

The Chargers season concluded on Sunday in the quarterfinal round of the NE10 Tournament after earning the No. 3 seed from the Southwest Division. At 18-9 overall, 12-7 in NE10 play, New Haven recorded its first back-to-back 18-win season in five years.
