FULL NE10 WEEKLY REPORT
MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Chargers ended their weekend on a two-game win streak, largely in part to junior forward
Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden), who was awarded NE10 Player of the Week honors for averaging a double-double over that span with 15.5 ppg and 14.0 rpg while shooting 56 percent from the field.Â
Deshaies put up eight points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the season opening 63-37 win over the Bloomfield Bears. She then followed that by shooting 11-16 (61 percent) against the Georgian Court Lions the next day to finish with a career-high 23 points and 16 rebounds, including nine on offense. To cap off her performance, she tipped in the game-winning shot at the buzzer to send the Chargers home with a 76-74 victory.Â
Deshaies totaled three double-doubles during her freshman year and has already tallied one, two games into the current season. Deshaies was a four-time NE10 Rookie of the Week in 2019, when she was also named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team at the conclusion of the season after leading the conference in field goal percentage.
