Dancing Again! Women’s Volleyball Earns #4 Seed in NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The road to Tampa, Fla. and the 2021 National Championship begins a short drive north of Charger Gymnasium for the New Haven women's volleyball team who have clinched an at-large birth into the NCAA Tournament. The Chargers claimed the four-seed in the East Region Championships which will be held by No. 1 American International.

The Blue and Gold will take on No. 5 seed Holy Family in the first round as the Chargers make their 15th consecutive appearance in the final 64 and 35th overall, having made the East Regional every year since 2006. New Haven have made it to at least the semifinal round of the regional in all but three of those years and hold an all-time record of 37-34 in the Big Dance.

The host Yellow Jackets earn the top spot in the regional and will take on No. 8 Southern Connecticut State in their quarterfinal match, taking on the winner between the No. 4 Chargers and No. 5 Tigers.
