WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The NEC announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday, with New Haven Volleyball's Kassadi Avent (Woolwich, NJ) taking home Rookie of the Week.

Avent played in all 10 sets, totaling 24 kills, three assists, a service ace, 12 digs, and two block assists, helping New Haven to a 2-1 record in the week. The freshman now ranks third on the team in kills and points.

New Haven returns to action on Friday night at Central Connecticut State University. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
