MANSFIELD, Mass. – Make it three-straight weeks for the New Haven football team earning an NE10 Weekly accolade with linebacker Khalim Cisse (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) earning the distinction following the Chargers convincing 31-14 win over No. 9 Bentley on Saturday.
Cisse led a stingy defense with seven tackles, four solo and three assisted, while also registering 2.5 tackles for loss, all of which being sacks as he busted through the offensive line to drive the Falcons back nine yards in total.
For the season, Cisse is currently tied for third on the team with 41 tackles, while he has racked up a team-best 12.5 tackles for loss and six sacks which also leads the Chargers. In addition to leading the team, his six sacks are the third most in the Northeast-10, while his 12 total TFL is tied for second in the conference.
Cisse and the Chargers close out the regular season on Saturday with a rematch against the Franklin Pierce Ravens. The earlier meeting against Franklin Pierce came as a non-conference match-up with the Chargers earning a 30-14 victory against the Ravens. Kickoff from Sodexo Field in Rindge, N.H. is slated for 1:00 p.m. with all of the action available on NE10 NOW.
