The squad will hit the road for one game in a season-opener rematch against the Bloomfield Bears on Friday, Dec. 17 at Charger Gymnasium at 5:30 PM.

These two have not met often but the advance goes to New Haven, having one three out of four games in the all-time series. The Chargers look to extend their win streak over the Bears to four games. SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
The Chargers enter Friday's matchup against the Bloomfield Bears looking to right the ship and get back in the win column.
The squad returned home, briefly, after spending the past two games on the road, where they saw losses to NE10 rivals, Southern Connecticut State and Saint Rose.
After falling behind 0-5 to start the first quarter against AIC, New Haven found themselves fighting back to finish the quarter, 15-15.
Ultimately, the comeback effort fell short as the Chargers were outscored a combined 37-16 in the second and third quarter, leading the Chargers to drop their third game during the month of December.
The Chargers shot 19-54 (35.2%) from the field during the game while going five of 24 from the perimeter (20.8%). AIC ended the game shooting 21-42 (50%) but were held to 5-11 (45.5%) from the arc.
So far this season, the Chargers have been outscored 301-263 in the first half while outscoring opponents 264-260 in the second.Â
Camryn DeBose (Wellington, Fla./Wellington Community) continues to be a force for the Chargers, finishing the game with 21 points on 54 percent shooting while recording four rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

Brie Pergola (Torrington, Conn./Torrington) was held to two of nine shooting while going 2-2 from the line to finish with six points while also racking up five assists. Pergola is still tied for 11th in the conference with 3.1 assists per game.
Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) pulled down 11 rebounds for the second straight week. She has surpassed tht number in four consecutive games and seven games in total. Deshaies is second in the NE10 with a current 53.8 field goal percentage on the season and fourth with 11.3 average rebounds.
Â
Juniors
Alyssa Stevenson (Watertown, N.Y./South Jefferson Central) and
Kameryn King (Old Saybrook, Conn./Mercy) made starts in the last game, combining for four points and two rebounds.
The Chargers continue to find their groove in the paint, outrebounding their past four opponents, 164-129, in that span.Â
New Haven forced 22 turnovers in the loss, turning those into 20 points on the other end. The Chargers also scored 12 points on second chance opportunities but were outscored on the fastbreak, 8-6.

The Bloomfield Bears enter the matchup 2-7 on the season and 0-2 during conference play. The Bears are currently on a two-game losing streak after dropping their last game against Lincoln University, 66-91.
