NORTHEAST-10 WEEKLY RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – A pair of Chargers field athletes wrapped up a two-meet weekend by sweeping the weekly Northeast-10 Conference weekly accolades, with Kristen Washington (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse) earning Field Athlete of the Week and Gabrielle Teel (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) named Field Rookie of the Week.
Across two meets this weekend, Washington took top honors three times and finished as the runner-up in a fourth event. She began the weekend winning the triple jump and finishing second in the long jump at the Ramapo College Opener. She followed that up with a pair of first place honors in the same two events at the William Sutherland Invitational, including extending her season-best in the triple jump to 11.76-meters which sets her up with an NCAA Provisional qualification.
Teel extended her personal best in the triple jump to finish second overall in the event at the William Sutherland Invitational, trailing only her teammate Kristen Washington (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse). Her best attempt in the event went in the books at 11.21-meters. In addition, she also took seventh place in the triple jump two days earlier at the Ramapo College Opener and also competed in the long jump at the Sutherland, taking seventh in that event as well.
