FULL NORTHEAST-10 WEEKLY RELEASE
WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Following a 3-0 week on the field a pair of New Haven women's lacrosse players snapped up Northeast-10 weekly honors on Monday with junior goalkeeper Gabby Buscemi (East Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) garnering NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week and freshman attack Marielle Colalillo (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) earning her second NE10 Rookie of the Week distinction. 
The duo helped lead New Haven to a pair of home victories and one road victory, with two of the three victories coming against ranked opponents: No. 17 Mercy and No. 24 Southern New Hampshire. 
Buscemi, who is currently second in the Northeat-10 in total saves, closed out the three-game week with 35 total saves, putting up double figure stops in all three games, extending her current streak to five-straight. The East Patchogue, N.Y. native opened up the week with 11 in an upset of No.15 Mercy before matching her season-high of 14in a home win over crosstown rival Southern Connecticut State University. She then added 10 in a win over No. 24 SNHU on the road. 
The rookie attack for the Chargers, Colalillo finished among the top leaders nine goals and two assists for 11 points. Among her highlights were a pair of hat tricks, the first in an upset win over No.15 Mercy where she finished with three goals and an assist. She then capped off the week with a four-goal outing on the road against No. 24 SNHU.
The Chargers will continue a three-game road trip with a Wednesday night match-up under the lights at Brian Kelly Stadium in Worcester, Mass. when they take on the No. 21 Assumption Greyhounds in what is the second of three-straight games against ranked opponents.
