FULL AVCA TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD RELEASE

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fresh off of its sixth Northeast-10 Conference Championship and just weeks away from beginning defense of that title, the New Haven women's volleyball team was one of 1,425 teams across the country to earn an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT.

The 2024 honor marks the 10th time in the history of the program New Haven has earned the distinction and the first since earning five-straight accolades from 2018-2022. The Chargers first ever AVCA Team Academic honor came in 2009 following the first year as a member of the Northeast-10 Conference. Overall, New Haven was one of 147 Division II programs to be honored and one of four from the Northeast-10 Conference.

To be eligible, a collegiate or high school volleyball program must maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
