FULL NFCA RELEASE
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – As part of its yearly awards package, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes with the University of New Haven placing 15 student-athletes on the rolls.
Earning the distinction for New Haven was freshman, Viana McKinley (North Chesterfield, Va./Monacan) and Cori Wilton, sophomores Aaliyah Amidon (Ledyard, Conn./Ledyard), Lucia Ceccarelli (Griswold, Conn./Griswold), Bella Chenet (Plantation, Fla./Archbishop McCarthy), Skylar Griffin (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur), Breanna Kinney (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) and Rachel Krogman (Old Bethpage, N.Y./Plainview-Old Bethpage), junior Olivia Roberto (Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun) and seniors Megan Anderson, Halle Frederick (Green Lane, Pa./Quakertown), Lauren Haversat (Seymour, Conn./Seymoour), Bella Lagattolla (Hudson, Mass./Assabet Valley Regional Tech), Stephanie Smith (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Catholic) and Ashley Veisz (Robbinsville,N.J./Robbinsville).
Overall, the NFCA named 8,054 collegiate student-athletes across Division I, II, III, NAIA and junior college with the 15 Chargers part of 1,510 representing NCAA Division II institutions. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have concluded the academic year just completed with a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
