FULL NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Coming off of back-to-back trips to the NCAA Division II playoffs, the New Haven women's lacrosse team was picked to finish third in the Northeast-10 Conference according to a poll of the league's head coaches.
Earning one of the 11 possible first place votes, New Haven finished with 82 points to finish third in the poll which was led by Pace who is coming off of an undefeated NE10 regular season with the Setters earning six first place votes and 95 total points. The reining national runner-up, Adelphi was picked second by the slimmest of margins, finishing with 94 points and four first place votes.
Bentley (67 points) and Assumption (61) round out the top-five in the poll, while Saint Anselm (58), Southern New Hampshire (51), Southern Connecticut (36), Franklin Pierce (30), Saint Michael's (20) and American International (11) round out the 11-team conference.
New Haven will kick off the 25th season in program history, and the 19th under head coach Jen Fallon, with a trip to Mount Olive, N.C. to take on Mount Olive on Saturday, February 22. Overall, the Chargers will play a 16-game regular season schedule, with the top eight teams following the regular season competing for a Northeast-10 Conference Championship beginning with quarterfinal action on Saturday, April 26.
