WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The NEC has announced its Men's Soccer Weekly Award Winners, and Ryan Kipness (Stamford, Conn./Westhill) was named Player of the Week after New Haven's first Division I win over Monmouth University. Lukian Lawro (Albertson, N.Y./Mineola) was also a Prime Performer.
Kipness scored the match-winning goal just a few minutes after Monmouth put a tally on the board, 60:06 into the game. Lawro scored the program's first goal of the season.
New Haven is back on the road for its next matchup on Monday, Aug. 25, in Providence, R.I. to take on the Friars of Providence College. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
