WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Men's and Women's Golf returned from their own trips on Tuesday, with the women's team wrapping up a weekend tournament in the Keystone State and the men's team returning from a short drive to Fairfield.
On the women's side, a 10th place finish of 19 programs at the Bucknell Invitational, started the year on a positive note.
Ella Hammond-Baveystock (Crowthorne, United Kingdom/Wellington College) and Lizzy Malcolm's tie for 30th place ranking of 108 competitors highlighted the weekend.
The women's program will travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Monday, Sept. 22, to take part in the Red Bandana Classic, hosted by Boston College.
The men's team captured a fourth-place tie of 13 teams at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic.
Tommaso Rossin (Milan, Italy/Istituto Leonardo Da Vinci) fired a three-day total of +4 in his collegiate debut to lead New Haven to a top-five finish in its first tournament of the year.
Hermann Gavilan (Valencia, Spain) finished tied for 19th and featured a day-two score of 70.
On Sunday, Sept. 14, the men's program will travel to Northwest Pennsylvania to attend the Laker Fall Invitational, sponsored by Mercyhurst University.
