WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The NEC announced its end-of-year major award and All-Conference Teams for Men's Golf on Tuesday afternoon, featuring New Haven's
Tommaso Rossin (Milan, Italy/Istituto Leonardo Da Vinci) on the conference's First Team.
In nine tournaments with the Blue & Gold across the fall and spring, Rossin finished in the top 10 six times, and top four five times. The Milan, Italy native took home the win in his second match with New Haven, the Mercyhurst Laker Fall Invitational on Sept. 14-15, shooting -1 for the tournament. Rossin followed that performance by firing a -5, finishing in second place at the Red Flash Invitational on Oct. 6-7.
In the spring, Rossin's best performance came on Apr. 13-14 at The Shark Invitational. Rossin shot a -1 for the tournament and placed second in the field of 87. The following week, he delivered another strong performance, shooting a -4 and taking home a fourth place finish at The Roar-EE Invitational, hosted by Columbia University.
Rossin was named NEC Men's Golfer of the Week twice during the spring (Apr. 16 and Apr. 22) and was named Prime Performer for the month of September and October during the fall and on Apr. 2 during the spring.
