ERIE, Pa. – New Haven Men's Golf attended the Laker Fall Invitational, coming back with a first-place team finish and three top 10 finishers. Tommaso Rossin (Milan, Italy/Istituto Leonardo Da Vinci) took first place in the tournament, Landon Arnold (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) rounded out the top five, and Hermann Gavilan (Valencia, Spain) finished the tournament 10th overall.

Rossin, a Milano, Italy native, shot a three-round total of 215 en route to his individual win. With a 73 after the first round, a 69 in round two, and another 73 to cap off his round, Rossin shot -1 for the tournament.

Arnold's tally of 218 put him right on the heels of his teammate. A 72-73-73 line was good enough for the freshman from Orchard Park, N.Y., to finish fifth overall.

Rounding out the top 10 was Gavilan, a senior from Valencia, Spain. Gavilan's three-day total of 223 was highlighted by a 70 in the second round, in between a 74 and 79 in rounds one and three, respectively.

The program will return to action on Monday, Oct. 6, as it makes the trip to Loretto, Pa. to compete in the Red Flash Invitational hosted by Saint Francis University.
