New Haven Earns Multiple Podium Spots During The CGA Winter Invitational

NEW LONDON, Conn. – New Haven Track and Field took part in the CGA Winter Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Numerous Chargers earned spots on the podium this weekend.
 
On the women's side, Madeline Klecha (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) earned first place in the 55m dash with a time of 7.55s. Jada Kamtha (St. Catherine, Jamaica/Wolmer's Trust High School for Girls) earned first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.46m. Kniya White earned first place in the shot put with a mark of 12.59m, and Lauren Paske (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Forks Central) earned third place with a mark of 11.46m. Aniya Bush (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) earned third place in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.78s. Norah Schwenker (Warren, Mass./Quaboag Regional) earned third place in the 400m run with a time of 1:06.71. In the weight throw, Jamison O'Brien (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) and Hannah Gastelum (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) earned second and third place, respectively. Molly Clark (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) earned third place in the pole vault with a mark of 2.70m. New Haven came in first place in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:47.06.
 
On the men's side, Nehemiah Oyaronbi () earned first place in the 55m dash with a time of 6.56s. Nathaniel Massingale (Nanuet, N.Y./Nanuet Senior High School) earned first place in the 600m run with a time of 1:26.23. Salvatore Cantanzano earned second place in the 600m run with a time of 1:27.83. Jimmy Oreste (Jamaica, N.Y./) earned first in the weight throw, with a mark of 18.47m. Noah Cooper (Hopatchong, N.J./Union Catholic) earned third place in the long jump with a mark of 6.58m. Isiah Gibson (Linden, N.J./Linden) tied for second place in the high jump with 1.82m. Declan McGrellis (Frederica, Md./Frederica) earned third place in the pole vault with a mark of 3.55m. Alan White (Hillside, N.J./Hillside) earned second place in the shotput with 14.52m, and Richard Fortune (/) earned third place with 14.44m. New Haven earned first place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:31.32. New Haven earned second place in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:33.89.

New Haven is back on the road on January 23rd and January 24th for the Dr. Sander Scorcher meet.
