WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Following the 2026 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, New Haven Track and Field student-athletes earned multiple All-NEC honors, highlighted by First-Team, Second-Team and All-Rookie selections across both the men's and women's squads.
Leading the way for the Blue & Gold on the men's side was junior Amir Phelemetto, who earned All-NEC First Team honors in the 110-meter hurdles after posting a mark of 14.44s. Freshman Jhelani Anderson (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) collected All-NEC Second Team recognition in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.52s.
New Haven also landed a representative on the men's All-Rookie Team as freshman Noah Cooper (Hopatchong, N.J./Union Catholic) earned recognition in the triple jump with a mark of 14.45m.
On the women's side, senior Gabrielle Teel (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) secured All-NEC First Team honors in the triple jump after recording a leap of 11.95m at the conference championship meet.
Two Chargers were named to the NEC Women's All-Rookie Team, led by Riley Davis (Preson, Conn./Norwich Free Academy), who earned recognition in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.35s, while Danielle Lynch (Hebron, CT/RHAM High School) was honored in the 1500-meter run after crossing in 4:59.12s.
As a team, the New Haven men finished fifth overall in the NEC Outdoor Championships standings with 78.5 points, while the women placed eighth with 52.5 points.
