WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The NEC announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon, featuring New Haven Women's Basketball's Jasmine McKay (West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) as the NEC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week. It is the first time in her career that McKay has won a weekly award from the conference.

On Saturday at LIU, the freshman guard dropped 21 points off the bench in a 78-74 overtime loss to the Sharks. McKay set career highs across the board in points (21), minutes (36), field goals made (seven), free throws made (five), rebounds (three), and steals (three).

New Haven returns to the court on Thursday, Feb. 19, as it travels to Stonehill College for a 6:00 p.m. matchup. Coach Buff's program collected its first-ever win as a Division I team back on Jan. 2 against the Skyhawks.
