New Haven Women's Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

WEST HAVEN, Conn. — New Haven Women's Soccer Head Coach Laura Duncan has officially announced the schedule for the 2026 season, marking the program's second year competing in Division I.

The Chargers are set to begin their season on Sunday, August 16, 2026, with an away match against Stony Brook University. This significant opener will set the stage for the team's continued growth and development at the Division I level. Following the opener at Stony Brook, New Haven will visit Brown University on Thursday, Aug. 20.

The Chargers' home opener is scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, against Monroe University. This match coincides with the University of New Haven's convocation, adding to the excitement and school spirit on campus. The event promises to be a memorable occasion, highlighting the university's commitment to athletics and community engagement.

In the final week of August, the Blue & Gold will stay in the Constitution State as the program visits Sacred Heart on Thursday, Aug. 27, before hosting Seton Hall to close out the month on Sunday, Aug. 30.

September opens with back-to-back home matches against the Bryant University Bulldogs on Sunday, Sept. 6, then on Wednesday, Sept. 9, as St. Peter's comes to town. The non-conference portion of the schedule concludes on Sunday, Sept. 13, as New Haven visits UMass Lowell.

Sunday, Sept. 20 marks the start of NEC play for the Chargers. During the first week of conference action, Howard University (Sept. 20) and Stonehill College (Sept. 24) will make their trips to West Haven.

New Haven will make the trip to northwestern Pennsylvania on Sunday, Sept. 27, as the Chargers will battle the Lakers of Mercyhurst University. Following that match, New Haven returns to the comforts of Kathy Zolad Stadium to host Wagner College on Thursday, Oct. 1.

A 10-day break will conclude when the Blue & Gold fly out to the Windy City to face Chicago State University on Sunday, Oct. 11. After arriving back in Connecticut, the program will visit in-state rival Central Connecticut on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The final two home games of the 2026 campaign will occur on Sunday, Oct. 18, as New Haven faces FDU, and on Sunday, Oct. 25, as LIU comes to town.

Closing out the season on the road, New Haven visits Delaware State on Sunday, Nov. 1, before heading to Syracuse, N.Y., to wrap up the season with a match at Le Moyne on Sunday, Nov. 8.
