WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven Men's and Women's Track and Field teams have announced their ten-meet 2018-19 indoor slate on Tuesday. The schedule includes four new meets as well as three competitions from last year's schedule and three championship events.
The Charger's season begins with a trip to Roxbury, Mass. for the UMass Boston Indoor Open at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday, December 1. After a week off, the Blue and Gold return to the Elm City to participate in the Yale Season Opener on December 8.
After a long Christmas break, the Chargers are back in action as they travel to Staten Island, N.Y. to take part in the STAC Spartan Invitational on Friday, January 11. Followed by the Smith College Invitational in Northampton, Mass. on January 19.
The season continues as the Blue and Gold take a trip to Beantown as they participate in the John Terrier Classic on January 26. Another meet in Massachusetts follows as the squads will face off against regional opponents at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury, Mass. from February 1 to February 2.
The Chargers then make a short trip next door to Yale for the Giegengack Invitational on February 9. After that, the Blue and Gold travel back to Smith College for the Northeast-10 Championships from Saturday, February 16 to Sunday, February 17. Another trip to Boston follows as the Chargers head to the Boston University Last Chance Meet on Sunday, February 24.
The NCAA Division II Indoor Championships will be held at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kan. from Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 9.
