OPENING TIP
Coming off their best performance of the season over the weekend, the New Haven women's basketball team will welcome No. 19 Bentley to Charger Gymnasium for the school's annual Class at the Court game on Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- New Haven is 4-31 all-time against Bentley and has dropped four straight in the series dating back to 2015.
SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
- Off to an 11-3 start, the Chargers return home for just the second time in the last eight games, coming off their best performance of the season on Saturday with a 75-49 win at Saint Michael's.
- The team has played strong defense through the first half of the season, allowing a conference-low 52.6 points per game. The Chargers are leading the NE10 by limiting opponents to shoot 33.8 percent from the floor and are fifth in holding opponents to 28.6 percent from three-point range.
- New Haven has scored at least 65 points seven of its last eight games. Previously, the team only cracked the 60-point plateau twice through their first six games.
- The Chargers have climbed to fifth in the conference by shooting 43.5 percent overall and are shooting 30.6 percent from the arc, which sits ninth in the NE10.
SCOUTING BENTLEY
- Bentley is ranked No. 19 in the nation in the latest D2SIDA poll that was released on Jan. 7. This week's poll will be released on Tuesday.
- Winners of eight in a row, Bentley enters with a 12-3 record and an unblemished 7-0 mark in NE10 play.
- The Falcons have scored at least 70 points in six straight games, including a 101-52 blowout of Southern Connecticut on Saturday, and a 71-68 win over then-No. 4/6 Saint Anselm on Jan. 4.
- Averaging 69.7 points per game, the Falcons are fourth in the NE10 in scoring and are surrendering 58.7 ppg, fifth-fewest in the NE10.
- Forward Monica Viapiano is third in the NE10 with a 56.4 percent field goal percentage.
- All five Bentley starters are averaging at least 8.3 points per game, led by Viapiano at 14.5 ppg, and sophomore guard Kari Brekke at 11.9 ppg.

CLASS AT THE COURT
Tuesday will mark the eighth annual Class at the Court game for the Charger women's basketball program. Approximately 515 fourth graders from the city of West Haven will visit campus, take part in educational activities at the Beckerman Recreation Center, have lunch in Bartels, then attend the game.
RIDING HIGH
The Chargers 75 points at Saint Michael's on Saturday was a season-high. It was the first time New Haven topped the 70-point plateau in just over one calendar year - January 2, 2019 against Dominican.
HOME COOKING
New Haven has won 10 consecutive home games dating back to last season, their longest streak at home since they won 12 straight at Charger Gymnasium during the 2014-15 season.
UNDER-50 CLUB
New Haven has held opponents under 50 points in six games this season - Bridgeport (42), Bloomfield (47), Le Moyne (49), Southern Connecticut (48), Saint Rose (48) and Goldey-Beacom (43). New Haven holds the NE10's best scoring defense (50.7).
OCASIO'S HELPING HAND
Luzdali Ocasio (Davenport, Fla./New Hampton) set a career-high with six rebounds at Saint Michael's on Saturday. She leads the team and is ranked fifth in the NE10 with 4.1 assists per game
CRASHING THE BOARDS
New Haven has yet to be outrebounded this season, outrebounding its opponents in 13 games, and drawing even with Pace. New Haven's +9.0 rebounding margin is second in the NE10.
