WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Eleventh-year head coach Laura Duncan has announced a 17-game slate that makes up the 2021 New Haven women's soccer scheduled, highlighted by hosting a season-opening four-team tournament at Kathy Zolad Stadium. In addition to the home tournament, the Chargers will host 10 matches on its home turf.

When New Haven returns to the field at Kathy Zolad Stadium to host its season-opening tournament, the Chargers will end a 666 day hiatus, last competing on November 5, 2019 when they concluded the season with a road trip to Albany, N.Y.

The 2021 campaign will kick off prior to the Labor Day weekend when the Chargers host the opening day of its invitational tournament taking on the Georgian Court Lions on Thursday, Sep. 2 before Post and Pace wrap-up the day's action. The two-game tournament will conclude on Sunday (Sep. 5) afternoon with the opening game featuring Pace and Georgian Court before the Blue and Gold conclude the tournament against Post.

Following the opening weekend festivities, the Chargers will remain home for one additional game, a midweek match-up with Bloomfield College, the final test before opening Northeast-10 Conference play against Stonehill (Sep. 10) on the road.

That road trip to Stonehill will be the only road contest in the first three weeks of the season as the Chargers will return home for back-to-back conference games against Bentley (Sep. 15) and Southern New Hampshire (Sep. 18) before heading back on the road for only its second away game against Saint Anselm (Sep.21).

The final two games in the opening month of the season consist of a home contest against Saint Michael's (Sep. 26) and a road trip to Pleasantville, N.Y. for a date with the Pace Setters on Sep. 29. The second month of the season begins with a home game as the Chargers will welcome Adelphi University, before traveling to Rindge, N.H. for a date with the Franklin Pierce Ravens (Oct. 9).

After returning from the Granite State, the Blue and Gold will step away from conference action for a brief hiatus as they host the final non-conference match of the season against Holy Family on Wednesday, Oct. 13. Three of the final five regular season NE10 matches will come on the road, the first a visit to Le Moyne on Oct. 16.

Following their trip to the Empire State, the Chargers return home to host crosstown rival Southern Connecticut State on Oct. 20 before back-to-back trips to the Bay State for dates with American International (Oct. 23) and Assumption (Oct. 27), which concludes the month of October.

The regular season finale will consist of a mid-week home match against the Saint Rose Golden Knights, with the top eight teams in the conference standings following regular season qualifying for the NE10 Championship, which opens with a quarterfinal match-up on Nov. 7 at the home sites of the four highest seeds. The semifinal and championship matches will also take place at home sites on Nov. 11 and Nov. 14, respectively.

The NCAA Division II Championship will begin with First and Second Round games scheduled to take place November 18-21 at 16 campus sites determined by the selection committee. The third and quarterfinal rounds will also take place at four campus sites with action taking place Dec. 3-5. The season will culminate with the NCAA Semifinals and Championship being contested Dec. 9-11 at the Switchbacks FC Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.

An announcement regarding the updated fan policy at Kathy Zolad Stadium will be posted later this summer. All home matches and select road matches will be broadcast live, for free, on the Charger Sports Network, part of NE10Now.tv.
