MANSFIELD, Mass. – Back to back weeks, freshman jumper Zerion Montgomery (/) took home Field Rookie of the Week by the Northeast 10 following a second and third place finish in the long jump and the triple jump competing at the Wilton Wright Invitational. 

Starting in the Long Jump, Montgomery's opening jump of 6.60 meters moved him into second place but on his second jump, he cleared his previous mark and solidified his second place finish jumping 6.80 meters. Following the long jump Montgomery continued to find his stride in the triple jump. After fouling his first jump, he would jump 13.38 meters moving him up to third place in the field. That mark would hold and finish Montgomery with third place overall and his second podium finish in the pit. With those new marks, he is now third in the conference for the long jump, and also third in the conference for the triple jump.

The team now prepares for their first week off since the start of the season before returning to the track after Easter to compete at the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational meet in Boston Massachusetts all in final preparation ahead of the Conference Championships in May.
