THE LEAD
Looking to get back in the win column, the Chargers welcome the Staten Island Dolphins to West Haven for the final non-conference game of the season with just two games remaining in the regular season following this match-up. Opening tip in the NE10 vs ECC battle is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
With its final non-conference game of the season on the docket tonight, New Haven relies heavily on its starting five who are all averaging more than 30 minutes per game, with three of the five averaging in double figures and the five combined providing 86% of the total scoring (1,342-of-1,559 total points). Leading the team individually is graduate guard Quashawn Lane (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic Academy) who has scored in double figures in all but one game this season, moving into the lead with his 15.1 ppg average. In addition, Lane leads the team with 82 assists and 36 steals. Following Lane is senior transfer Ty Perry (Boston, Mass./Brighton) who is averaging 14.6 ppg. Junior Davontrey Thomas (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Poughkeepsie) rounds out the top three with a 12.4 ppg average, including leading the team from beyond the arc with 56 three pointers. Rounding out the starting five is Victor Olawoye (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial High School) and Majur Majak (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./) who average 9.6 and 7.3 ppg, respectively. Among the five, Majak leads the team and the NE10 with an impressive 62.5 percent (70-of-112) shooting from the field, while Lane is also among the best in the league at 53.4 percent (126-of-236). Majak is also the NE10's leading shot blocker with 66 stuffed attempts, which also ranks him third nationally in total blocks.

SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
Looking for their third win in the last four games, the Dolphins are looking to get back in the win column after dropping a 77-57 decision on the road at Molloy over the weekend. Despite averaging 72.2 points per game for the season, Staten Island is being outscored by more than five points per game as they are surrendering 77.3 ppg to their opponents. They are also being outdone on the boards by an average of 3.6 per game. Individually, five different players are averaging in double figures, led by Messiah Mallory who comes in shooting at a 49% clip (153-314) for an average of 15.9 ppg while also leading the way on the boards with 9.0 per game. He is also a big shot blocker with 62 on the year. Following him in leading the team is Bryce Waterman who is averaging 13.3 ppg.
