HOPKINTON, N.H. – Returning to the track, the University of New Haven Men's Cross Country team returned to New Hampshire to compete for a conference crown at the Northeast 10 Cross Country Championships where New Haven was one of 1 teams competing at the meet.

Mohammed Abunar (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) continued to set the pace for New Haven as Abunar finished ninth overall with a final time of 25:41.5 and earning himself a spot on the All- Conference second team.

Finishing second for the Chargers, Liam Taggart (Wakefiled, Mass./Wakefield Memorial) finished 27 overall crossing in 26:31.7. William Brown (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) finished third overall for the Chargers and 39 overall coming across the finish line in 27:01.2.

James Comisky (Milford, Mass./Milford) who finished 60 overall and crossed with a final time of 27:35.7 led the pack of three Chargers that came across one after the other as Jacob Carson (Seymour, Conn./Notre Dame (West Haven)) finished 61 overall with a time of 27:37.8, and Noah Hurd (Wrentham, Mass./King Philip Regional) who finished 62, with a time of 27:40.1.

Overall the Chargers finished seventh of the 11 teams competing in the Championship.

The Chargers, now completing their first postseason meet, return to the course to compete at the NCAA Division II East Region Championship in Rochester, New York on Saturday, November 9 at the Matt St. James Cross Country Trails with the race beginning at 12:00 PM.
