MANSFIELD, Mass. – After wrapping up the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with top-10 finishes graduate student April Mauceri (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) and junior Mohammed Abunar (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) each added another accolade to their resume earning NE10 All-Conference Second Team accolades.
The Northeast-10 Conference presents All-Conference accolades for First, Second and Third Team distinctions, recognizing the top 21 finishers at the annual championship event. The top seven receive First Team honors, finishers 8 – 14 earn Second Team honors and finishes 15 – 21 earn Third Team honors.
On the women's side, Mauceri finished her first NE10 Championship slotted ninth among the field of 92 runners in her first ever conference championship, The former UNH Cheerleader, Mauceri finished the 6K course at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in a time of 22:56.2.
On the men's side, Abunar earns his third NE10 All-Conference nod with his ninth place overall finish placing him on the Second Team for the third time in his career. The Trumbull, Conn. native finished the 8K course at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in a time of 25:41.5.
The junior distance runner hasn't wrapped up his 2024 campaign just yet, earning a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championship which will take place Nov. 23 at the Arcade Creek Course at Haggin Oaks in Sacramento, Calif.
