ROCHESTER, New York. – After strong finishes at the Conference Championships, the University of New Haven Women's Cross Country team returned to the course, as they traveled to Rochester, New York for the NCAA Division II East Region Championship at the Matt St. James Cross Country Trails.
April Mauceri (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) continued to set the pace for New Haven as Mauceri finished 19 overall with a final time of 22:37.9 earning All-Region.
Finishing second for the Chargers, Violet Coyle (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay) finished 67 overall crossing in 24:36.6. Elsie Kaas (Elverson, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) finished third overall for the Chargers and 70 overall coming across the finish line in 24:42.7.
Josie Thompson (Towson, Md./Carver Center for Arts & Technology) finished 106 overall and fourth for the Chargers with a final time of 26:14.1.
Kaitlyn Rollo (Lakewood, Calif./Robert A. Millikan) who finished 113 overall and crossed with a final time of 26:35.5 finished fifth overall for New Haven.
Overall the Chargers finished 15 of the 19 teams competing in the Championship.
