WORCESTER, Mass. – Coming off their strong performances at the conference championships, the University of New Haven Men's and Women's Track and Field teams returned to the track at the New England Championships looking to add to their accolades of the season.

Sistrunk qualified for the finals running the fourth fastest time, 12.22 before shaving .12 off her split in the finals to cross in 12.10 and earn the bronze medal in the event.

Jada Kamtha (St. Catherine, Jamaica/Wolmer's Trust High School for Girls) took home a bronze medal in the 100m hurdles and in the process set the school record, besting her previous record, in the event when Kamtha bettered her prelim time by .44 finishing third with a time of 14.03.

After winning gold at the conference championships, Jacky Marescot (Spring Valley, N.Y./Ramapo) added more gold to his season as he jumped another personal record in the long jump as Marescot jumped a winning mark of 7.30m in the event.

Kristen Washington (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse) followed up her conference record mark and provisional mark at conference, taking home a silver medal in the long jump where Washington jumped 5.98m, another provisional mark, as she took home the silver medal. Washington would add to her medal count as she took home the gold in the triple jump crushing her winning mark from conference and jumping another provisional mark and winning the gold with a mark of 12.28m.

The blue and gold added bronze, silver, and gold in the men's triple jump as the Chargers swept the podium as Jonathan Cineus (Stratford, Conn./Bunnell) jumped a winning mark of 14.59m ahead of Jacky Marescot (Spring Valley, N.Y./Ramapo) who added his second medal taking the silver with a mark of 14.46m, and Jackson Marescot (Spring Valley, N.Y./Ramapo) took the bronze with a mark of 14.44m.

The teams will turn to the summer to recruit new and build upon the years success and prepare to have similar success next year.
