MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – New Haven Track and Field attended the Wesleyan Rust Buster on Saturday. The Blue & Gold continued their strong 2025-26 campaign by achieving numerous podium finishes and setting three new program records on the day.
Starting with the women,
Alicia Brown's (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) 3.20m pole vault set a new program record while also sending her home with a first-place finish.
Molly Clark (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) tied for second place in the event with a 2.75m vault.
Miana Quinonez (/) finished in third place in women's high jump after leaping 1.50m. Piper Lochanski raced to a third-place finish in the women's 600m with a time of 1:44.06s. LaKay-Sha Clarke placed third in the women's 200m dash, completing it in a time of 26.84s.
On the men's side, both
Cole Parker (Severn, Md.) (pole vault - 4.30m) and
Jimmy Oreste (Jamaica, N.Y./) (weight throw - 18.62m) set program records. Parker took home second place while Oreste finished in first place, head and shoulders above the rest of the field.
Luis Calderon (/) (13.35m) and
Joshua Ellis (Westbury, N.Y.) (13.16m) took home first and second place in the men's triple jump. Parker's fantastic day continued with a first-place finish in the men's 60m hurdles.
Uriah Dieujuste (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern) finished third in the men's 600m run with a time of 1:26.11s. Two New Haven men's 4x400 relays placed on the podium. The quartet that earned first place was made up of
Elijah Espinal (Hamden, Conn./Hamden),
Timothy Conklin (Wallingford, Conn./Lyman Hall),
Adrian Zavala (New Haven, Conn./Wilbur Cross), and
Kittikhom Tighe (West Haven, Conn./West Haven). The second, which brought home third, was made up of Dieujuste,
Nathaniel Massingale (Nanuet, N.Y./Nanuet Senior High School),
Trevor Rawlinson (/), and
Jhelani Anderson (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton).
New Haven Track and Field is back in action on Friday, Jan. 16, at the NYC Gotham Cup in Staten Island, N.Y.
